Children: Paul's Adventures in Acts
This week we encounter the Apostle Paul and some of his special friends with whom he shared Jesus. Today we meet Barnabus and Lydia.
READ & WATCH
You can read about the adventures of Paul and Barnabas in Acts 13 and watch a video about their work here.. You’ll find Lydia’s story in Acts 16 and summarised in this fun video.
THINK
Why did Paul travel to so many different places?
What was the Good News that Paul was sharing with the people he met?
How did Lydia respond when she heard about Jesus?
What do these stories teach us about Jesus?
EXPLORE
Can you complete this amazing maze to help Paul and Barnabus on their travels? Or perhaps break this code to learn more about their work? Discover more about Lydia by challenging yourself with this word search and then finish up with a fun colouring page.
Paul was on a mission! He wanted everyone to hear the Good News about Jesus and he travelled to many parts of the world to tell them. Use this map to try and find some of the cities listed in the Bible stories this week.
PRAY
Do you know someone you would like to tell about the Good News of Jesus? It’s great to pray and ask God to give you the opportunity to share and the boldness to do so! Draw a picture of the person you’d like to share with and stick it to your wardrobe. Every time you go to get dressed in the morning you can pray for that person and a chance to speak to them about Jesus.
SING
It can be scary sometimes to share about Jesus with our friends so sing this song, ‘Big and Strong’ to help remind yourself of how big and strong our God is! And then have a go at learning the dance moves for ‘When I look up’.
